FAQ

Shipping

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, I ship directly from Japan to customers in North America, Europe, and select regions in Oceania.

I'm not familiar with international shopping. Will my package from Japan definitely reach me?

Yes — you can shop with confidence. I have shipped to customers in many countries, and I support you throughout the entire delivery process.

The main difference from domestic shopping is that your package must clear customs when it enters your country. This may add a little extra time, but it does not significantly increase the risk of loss. Lost packages are extremely rare.

In some cases, a package may be returned to Japan if the address is incomplete or undeliverable. As long as you provide the same name and address you use for other deliveries, your package will reach you without issue.

Please note that depending on your country, customs duties, taxes, or a carrier handling fee may be charged upon delivery. These fees are set by your local customs authority and are outside my control. For more information, please refer to my FAQ on customs and import fees.

In the unlikely event that a package cannot be delivered due to customs issues or other unforeseen circumstances, I will work with you to find a resolution — whether that's a refund, store credit, or reshipment.

Will I be charged customs duties or import taxes?

Customs duties and import taxes are the buyer's responsibility. Depending on your country, these may be collected at checkout or assessed upon delivery. Please see the destination-specific information below.

  • United States: Duties are calculated and collected at checkout. No additional charges upon delivery.
  • Canada: Orders may be subject to duties, GST/HST, and a carrier handling fee upon delivery (approximately 20% of the order value). Orders over CAD 20 are technically liable for fees, but charges are applied at the discretion of customs — some packages are assessed, others are not. Orders over CAD 200 are more likely to incur fees.
  • United Kingdom: VAT (20%) and a handling fee (Royal Mail: £8–12 / FedEx: £12.90) will be charged at delivery. Orders over £135 may also incur customs duties.
  • EU: Orders under €150 — VAT is collected at checkout via IOSS. No additional charges upon delivery. Orders over €150 — VAT (17–25%), customs duties, and a handling fee will be charged at delivery.
  • Switzerland: VAT (8.1%) and a CHF 10 handling fee will be charged at delivery.
  • Australia / New Zealand: Orders under AUD/NZD 1,000 are generally free of import taxes. Above this threshold, import duties or GST may apply.

Please note that customs regulations may change. For the most up-to-date information, please contact your local customs office.

What information do I need to provide for shipping?

You'll need to provide your correct shipping address, full name, and phone number at checkout. I may also share your email address with the shipping carrier so they can send you delivery updates or request any necessary information for customs clearance. Please be assured that this information will only be used for delivery purposes and will not be shared for any other reason.

Which shipping carriers do you use?

I ship via FedEx or national postal services depending on your destination. Carriers are assigned per destination — please refer to the list below. After reviewing the estimated delivery times at checkout, if options are available, you can select your preferred shipping method.

  • FedEx — United States, United Kingdom, Switzerland, EU (except Germany)
  • National Postal Service / EMS — Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, New Zealand

When will my order ship?

Your order will be prepared and shipped quickly — usually within 24–72 hours after payment is confirmed.

How long will my package take to arrive?

FedEx: Approximately 1 week

  • United States: within 1 week
  • Europe (except Germany), United Kingdom, Switzerland: about 1 week

National Postal Service: Approximately 1 to 3 weeks

  • Canada: 10 days to 3 weeks (EMS: approximately 10 days)
  • United Kingdom: 10 days to 3 weeks
  • Germany: 1–2 weeks (EMS: approximately 1 week to 10 days)
  • Australia, New Zealand: 10 days to 3 weeks (EMS: approximately 10 days)

Please note that these delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed. Each carrier handles entry into your country, customs clearance, and final delivery. Delays may occur during these stages, especially during busy seasons or when additional customs inspections are required, so I kindly ask for your understanding.

Is signature on delivery available?

Signature-required shipping is available for select orders. Where available, you can select it as an option at checkout. If the option does not appear, your order will be delivered using standard methods, and the delivery approach is at the carrier's discretion.

Will I receive a tracking number?

Yes, all orders include tracking. Once your package is shipped, you'll receive a tracking number via email along with a link to track your shipment. The tracking number remains the same throughout the entire delivery process and can be used in your country without any changes.

  • FedEx shipments: Real-time tracking with detailed updates throughout the delivery process.
  • National Postal Service shipments: Tracking is available, but online updates often experience delays. In particular, after your package leaves Japan and enters your country, it may take up to 10 days for the next update to appear. Rest assured, your package is in transit and will be delivered even if tracking updates are delayed.

If your tracking shows no updates for more than 2 weeks, or if you have any concerns, please contact me and I'll investigate with the carrier.

I received an email from FedEx saying customs needs additional information about my package. What should I do?

I actively monitor all shipments in transit and track their status. When FedEx requests additional documentation or information, I prepare and submit the necessary materials to them on your behalf.

In most cases you don't need to take any action. You can simply wait a few days while I handle the documentation process, or if you have any concerns, please feel free to contact me and I'll provide an update.
