Tools You’ll Need:

• Sandpaper
• Stainless steel brush
• Polishing spatula or file
• Heat source (gas stove with mesh or handheld gas torch)

How to Use:

1. Shape the soft clay into your desired design. Smooth the surface with sandpaper if needed.
2. Let it dry completely—either naturally for one day or with a hair dryer for at least 15 minutes.
3. Refine the shape using sandpaper or shaping tools.
4. Fire the piece: ・On a gas stove with mesh: heat for at least 5 minutes ・With a handheld gas torch: heat for 1 minute 30 seconds to 2 minutes Note: Larger or thicker pieces may require additional firing time to ensure complete sintering.
5. After firing, polish the piece with a stainless-steel brush and file to reveal its silver shine.

Notes:

• The clay will shrink by approximately 8–9% during firing as moisture evaporates. Consider making your piece slightly larger to compensate.
• The clay dries quickly while working, so add a small amount of water as needed to keep it pliable.
• If you're new to silver clay, practicing first with oil clay or plaster clay is highly recommended.
• Art Clay Silver may crack or break after firing depending on conditions such as drying, firing temperature, and cooling method. As fine silver has a naturally soft structure, results may vary depending on individual techniques. We do not guarantee the success, completion, or durability of finished pieces.
